About Me

Wanting to understand how visual storytelling influences user interactions, I started exploring UX Design. Once I learned about the UX Design process, I realized how similar it was to the process of creating a story in journalism. Like journalism, UX requires understanding an audience, crafting a compelling narrative, and refining details to create a meaningful experience. This discovery has since sparked a deep curiosity for this field.

Innovation in design has the power to make the world more accessible, and I want to be part of that. By blending my storytelling background with UX, I aim to create experiences that are not only functional but also engaging, beautiful, and inclusive.

Hello! My name is Emil Todd Lippe III. I’m a UX Designer with a background in journalism from the University of Missouri. Throughout my time as a journalist, I have always led with my values of authenticity, impact, beauty and innovation to find and create meaningful stories throughout the United States.

After landing back home in Dallas due to the pandemic in 2020, I became a freelance photojournalist. Since 2021, I have been part of many impactful national stories—a role I continue to hold today. However, I struggled to understand why certain photos were being chosen for different user experiences.
